SUPPLIES

Fabric Requirements:
1 yard light
12 - dark fat 1/4's
3/4 yard medium for corner squares and inner border
2 yards for outer border and binding, if using a directional print
OR
1 1/2 yard for outer border and binding
3 1/2 yards backing

Other Requirements:
Sewing Machine
Rotary Cutter
Ruler
Mat
Thread

Basic Sewing Supplies

1. Cutting:
From the light cut:
10 – 2 3/4" strips, into:
144 – 2 3/4" squares, cut diagonally once

From each of the dark fat quarters, cut:
1 – 6 1/2" x 20" strip, into:
1 – 6 1/2" square for setting squares
3 – 4 1/2" squares, cut diagonally twice

From 8 of the dark fabrics, cut:
The leftover fat 1/4 to 8" and cut:
1 – triangle for sides, per diagram


From the remaining 4 fabrics, cut:
The leftover fat 1/4 to 11" and cut:
1 – triangle for corners, per diagram.


From the corner square fabric, cut:
2 – 3 1/2" strips, into:
24 – 3 1/2" squares
6 – 2" strips for inner border

From the outer border fabric, cut:
1 – 6 1/2" square for a setting square
6 – 5 1/2" strips for outer border
6 – 2 1/2" strips for binding
