Three times a year, members of the Guild meet at the Wyndham Garden Hotel in Buffalo Grove for a weekend of sewing, inspiration, guidance, laughing, eating and a whole lot of fun! Sleeping is optional. The weekend is designed to allow members to finish existing projects or start new ones. Special projects are usually not planned as part of the event, unless the people within the group decide to do so beforehand. You can bring along something that you are having difficulty finishing or for which you are in need of help. Bring supplies you need for your projects. Each person has her own table. Irons and ironing boards are provided.
The rate per night is approximately $85.00 plus tax for double occupancy of a sleeping room. There will be a charge of $5.00 for each additional person (maximum four to a room). The cost includes a full breakfast in the morning. There is also a one-time charge of $55 per person for our meeting room. Overnight accommodations are part of the program and will allow us to achieve the full benefit and camaraderie that this type of retreat has to offer. Non-members/guests are welcome, but you will need to check with Annette Klingsporn for availability.
Be certain to add this exciting, entertaining, get-away weekend to your calendar and register as soon as possible! We can only accommodate 25 people at the Sew-In, so reserve your spot now for a fun-filled retreat For more information or to make your reservations contact Annette at 815-776-9433 or

BIG BEE

On the first Saturday of the month, the bee is held at the
Elk Grove Library, Elk Grove Village, IL. (
see map). While a demo by one of the members is usually a focal point of this fun event, it is loosely structured. Some come because the tables are large and the lighting is good, allowing them to pin their quilt tops to batting and backing, and perhaps even start the quilting process. Some people find inspiration and guidance in the amount of experience the rest of the group has. Still others prefer to sew and visit. Members may work on any project they choose to bring.
Hours are from 10am - 4pm.
